PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Multnomah County district attorney’s office has released more than 700 pages of grand jury transcripts from the Portland police shooting of Keaton Otis.

The grand jury found no criminal wrongdoing on the part of police, who shot Otis 23 times after he shot and wounded an officer during a traffic stop last month.

The transcripts include several new details, including the struggle Otis’ mother had trying to get help for her mentally ill son. Otis had spent the last months of his life delusional, refusing to eat and living in his room with the lights off.

The 6-foot-4 Otis weighed 155 pounds when he died.
