PROSSER, Wash. (AP) — Former Prosser Mayor Linda Lusk has been charged with third-degree child molestation, accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old boy.

According to court papers filed Wednesday by the Benton County prosecutor’s office, the boy told police he and the 49-year-old Lusk had exchanged text messages, including one with a photo of her partially undressed.

The documents say the boy told his parents that Lusk touched his penis and he touched her breasts during a lunch-hour visit to her house April 28.

Lusk’s lawyer Scott Johnson told The Tri-City Herald that his client is “fully cooperating with the police investigation.”

She was not arrested; she is due in court next week.

Lusk is married to Prosser High School Principal Kevin Lusk. She served one term as Prosser’s mayor, then lost a re-election bid in 2007.
