GRAHAM, Wash. (AP) — The Pierce County sheriff’s office says a man was stabbed by his stepson early Thursday in Graham in a dispute that began when both were drinking and playing darts.

Detective Ed Troyer told The News Tribune of Tacoma the man was stabbed in the chest with a large knife after he punched his stepson. The wounded man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital in serious condition.

Troyer says the stepson’s mother suffered minor cuts when she tried to intervene.

And, when a deputy arrived, Troyer says the stepson’s sister punched the deputy in the face.

The stepson was arrested for investigation of assault and his sister for possible charges of obstructing and assaulting an officer.
