UFL’s Nighthawks sign RB Ahman Green

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Running back Ahman Green has signed to play for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

Green played 12 seasons in the NFL, and is the Green Bay Packers career rushing leader with 8,322 yards in eight years with the club. He also played for Seattle and Houston.

Green is returning home to play for the expansion Nighthawks. He starred at Nebraska with 3,880 yards and 42 touchdowns in three years.

The UFL begins its second season in September. The Nighthawks are coached by Jeff Jagodzinski.
