SEATTLE (AP) — Spring can’t be denied.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a warm weekend across Washington.

Forecasters say it will be sunny Saturday and partly sunny Sunday with high temperatures into the 70s in Western Washington.

Forecasters say Eastern Washington will be mostly cloudy both days and highs will be in the 80s.

Cooler weather will bring a chance of showers early next week.

As people head for the water in warmer weather, the King County sheriff’s office is warning to expect cold water and fast-moving rivers and to take precautions against drowning.

The Northwest Avalanche Center in Seattle is warning hikers and climbers to beware of wet avalanches caused by melting snow.
