DENVER (AP) — Colorado Rockies Troy Tulowitzki shortstop is out of Saturday’s lineup with a slight right groin injury.

Rockies manager Jim Tracy said he is sitting Tulowitzki because he doesn’t want his star shortstop to aggravate his leg in the cold, wet weather at Coors Field.

The forecast for Saturday night’s game against Toronto calls for rain and temperatures in the 50s.

Tracy said Tulowitzki tweaked his groin sliding during Friday’s 5-3 win over the Blue Jays. When Tracy arrived at the stadium Saturday he was told there was “no chance” Tulowitzki could play.

Tracy he’ll wait-and-see whether Tulowitzki can play Sunday. He is hitting .307 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs.
