TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Drew Maggi hit a two-run homer in the top of the 12th inning to lead top national seed Arizona State into the College World Series with a 7-5 victory over Arkansas on Sunday night in the Tempe super regional.

With Arkansas’ season down to its last strike in the ninth, Brett Eibner hit his 22nd home run over the left-field fence to tie it 5-5.

Zach Wilson hit two solo home runs and Riccio Torrez had a two-run shot off the scoreboard to give the Sun Devils (52-8) a 4-0 lead in the third. Deven Marrero had a sacrifice fly in the seventh to make it 5-3.

However, James McCann’s RBI single cut it to 5-4 in the eighth, setting the stage for Eibner.

Zack Cox had three hits and McCann drove in two runs for Arkansas (43-21).
