DEN BOSCH, Netherlands (AP) — Xavier Malisse of Belgium has reached the quarterfinals of the Unicef Open with a 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory over Daniel Brands.
Malisse was within two points of losing Tuesday’s second-round match before rallying to reach the quarterfinals for the second week in a row. He made it to the final eight at the Queen’s Club.
In first-round play, eighth-seeded Benjamin Becker of Germany defeated Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
