SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A missing swimmer whose body was found in the Willamette River has been identified as a Portland teenager.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said the body recovered Monday was 15-year-old Thomas B. Lamphere, who was reported as a runaway by his family in April.
Deputies responded to the Riverfront Park area in Salem on Sunday after a report that a swimmer did not resurface after going underwater.
