REDMOND, Ore. (AP) — A nonstop flight from central Oregon to Los Angeles called an economic “lifeline” is being canceled.
Horizon Air announced Wednesday it’s dropping the route from Redmond Airport to Los Angeles International Airport effective August 22.
Roger Lee, executive director of Economic Development for Central Oregon, told The Bulletin the decision could hurt chances for recruiting new business to the region.
Lee said his agengy, Redmond Airport and possibly other organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce will start hunting for a replacement carrier immediately.
