BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — The parents of a French soccer fan who died after being attacked in Belgrade have called for harsh sentences for their son’s alleged killers.
Suzanne and Alain Taton testified Thursday at the trial in Serbia of 14 Partizan Belgrade fans who are charged with the murder of Toulouse supporter Brice Taton in September.
Taton and other French fans were attacked before a Europa League match between Partizan and Toulouse. Taton was seriously injured and died days later in a hospital.
The parents said their son was “massacred.” Suzanne Taton added that he was “a good son, full of life, and I can never forget the way he died.”
