Wet spring breeding mosquitoes in Portland area

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The wet spring in the Portland area could give rise to swarms of mosquitoes.

KGW-TV reports Multnomah County mosquito control experts are finding large areas of standing water where mosquitoes hatch.

The county’s Eamonn O’Neill says homeowners can help by removing standing water from bird baths, gutters or pots.
