MCCLEARY, Wash. (AP) — One year ago Saturday, 10-year-old Lindsey Baum disappeared while walking home from a friend’s house in McCleary.

She has missed her 11th birthday party, the start of a new school year, holidays and family gatherings.

KXRO reports investigators continue to hope a piece of critical information might be found that can bring the case to a close.

Undersheriff Rick Scott says there’s a renewed search around McCleary. The reward for information on Lindsey’s whereabouts has risen to $30,000.

To mark the anniversary of her disappearance, Lindsey’s Day of Hope and Awareness is being held in Olympia on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Park.
