SEATTLE (AP) — The U.S. Marshals Service says a suspect in a New Jersey slaying was tracked to the Seattle area and arrested Thursday night at a motel in Puyallup (pew-AL’-up).

The Pacific Northwest Futive Apprehense Task Force arrested Anthony Novellino on a warrant from Boonton, N.J.

A Marshals Service statement Friday describes him as the suspect in the death Saturday of his ex-wife Judith Novellino, who was stabbed 80 times at their home in Denville, N.J.,

His car was found in the motel parking lot and Novellino was arrested in his room. The 63-year-old is jailed for an extradition hearing.

The 62-year-old Judith Novellino was an English teacher at Morris Catholic High School. The couple had divorced two weeks ago after 37 years of marriage.
