CHICAGO (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Bobby Crosby left Monday night’s game with the Chicago Cubs with concussion-like symptoms after colliding with right fielder Lastings Milledge.

In second inning, Geovany Soto hit a blooper down the right-field line. Milledge came in charging, while Crosby was sprinting from his position to get under the ball. They collided right before the ball dropped between them. Crosby was knocked hard to ground after running into Milledge’s right shoulder.

Soto ended up on second base and Aramis Ramirez, who was on first, went to third. After the play, Crosby was looked at by a team trainer, but stayed in the game. He left after grounding out in the third inning.

Milledge appeared to be fine.
