GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — A 76-year-old woman in an electric wheelchair was hit by a pickup truck and killed while trying to cross a road in Grants Pass.
Police told the Grants Pass Daily Courier that Mildred S. Britton died Sunday afternoon at the scene of the accident.
Police say 60-year-old William R. Evans of Medford was headed out of town on Rogue River Highway when Britton crossed in front of him.
