Officials with the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office on Monday released the name of a man who disappeared in the Columbia River near the Stevenson boat ramp on Friday.

Jordan L. Jaco, 26, of Stevenson, remained missing Monday night, after a weekend of searches on boats and with divers, deputies said in a bulletin.

About 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jaco had been on a raft when it overturned in high winds, the bulletin said.

He was seen trying to swim to shore but went under. He wore no flotation vest, the bulletin said.

Sheriff’s deputies with the Marine Unit and Dive Team searched for Jaco until nightfall Friday and continued looking for him Saturday morning.

Jaco is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, with black eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing orange shorts and no shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately, or the sheriff’s office at 509-427-9490.
