SHINE, Wash. (AP) — The Washington Department of Transportation says the Hood Canal Bridge will close at night next week to perform tests after a hydraulic problem was fixed.

The department says functional testing on the west drawspan of the State Route 104 floating bridge will start at 10 p.m. Monday and continue for about six nights. The bridge will be closed to traffic between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. If those tests are completed successfully, there will be about three nights of testing to see how both the east and west sides of the drawspan perform together.
