Suzanne Bachelder, Washougal’s parks, cemetery and building facilities manager, will talk about the city’s growing trail system when she visits the Camas-Washougal Historical Society on Saturday.

This is the first talk in the historical society’s 2010 Trails Lecture series. Bachelder will provide an update on the past, present and future of trails in the Washougal area and progress made toward the goals of a 2006 parks and trails plan. Also, historical society president Curtis Hughley will comment on historical ownership of the land claims and grants that local trails cross.

The event is at 2 p.m. at the Camas Police community room, 2100 N.E. Third Ave., Camas. Light refreshments will follow the meeting.
