CELEBRATION TABERNACLE CHURCH will host “A Call for Growth,” a public celebration of the 30 years in ministry, leadership and service of the Rev. Elbert D. Mondainé, beginning March 12. In 1988, Mondainé founded True Believers Assembly of Non-Denominational Churches, as well as Celebration Tabernacle Church in North Portland. Mondainé also founded the soul food restaurant Po’Shines, which serves as a training facility for at-risk youth and young adults. Mondainé’s ministry expanded to a second church, Celebration Grace Center in St. Louis, Mo., and a Christian Retreat House in Santa Fe, N.M. The celebration will begin at 7 p.m. March 12, 13 and 14 at Celebration Tabernacle Church, 8131 N. Denver, Portland.
