Joel Przybilla’s journey toward returning to the basketball court has suddenly become much longer.

The Trail Blazers center slipped in the shower Saturday at his home in Milwaukee, Wis. During the fall, Przybilla reruptured his right patella tendon, which he originally tore Dec. 22. The 10-year NBA veteran underwent season-ending surgery Dec. 24, and was 10 weeks into a rehabilitation that was supposed to have him ready for training camp for the 2010-11 season.

Now, Przybilla will undergo another surgery on his right knee. No timetable has been set for his return.

Przybilla, 30, is the longest tenured Blazer, having been with the team since 2004. He holds a player option worth $7.4 million to remain in Portland next season.
