MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — Marysville police say a man was arrested after a 12-year-old girl found a video camera hidden in her bathroom garbage can.
The Herald of Everett reports that the 25-year-old man arrested Thursday had lived with the family and gained their trust.
Court papers say that on Jan. 19, the girl went to use her bathroom but saw the man in there. The parents thought that odd, since the man had a bathroom of his own. Returning to her bathroom, the girl found the camera, pointed toward the shower.
Police say they also found sexually explicit photos and videos of children in the man’s computer. He was charged Friday in Snohomish County Superior Court with voyeurism and possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
