LAS VEGAS (AP) — Tayrn Wicijowski scored 22 points, including six in overtime, to lead Utah to a 51-45 victory against New Mexico in the second round of the Mountain West Conference tournament on Wednesday night.

Janita Bandon had 11 points for the No. 4-seeded Utes (21-10), who face TCU, the top seed, in Friday’s semifinals.

Eileen Weissmann led fifth-seeded New Mexico (18-12) with 15 points.

Wicijowski — whose basket with 2:50 remaining in overtime put Utah up for good, 51-50 — was 9 of 14 from the field and had eight rebounds. Bandon’s 3-pointer with 1:04 remaining in regulation tied the score at 38-38 and forced the extra session.

The Lobos shot just 14 of 51 (28 percent) from the floor but were 8 of 11 (73 percent) from 3-point range.
