TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (AP) — Honduras will play Azerbaijan, Belarus and Romania in World Cup warmups.
Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda said Thursday that contracts had been signed for the three games and that officials were negotiating for a match against fellow World Cup qualifier North Korea.
Preparing for their first World Cup since 1982, the Catrachos will play Azerbaijan in Austria on May 27, Belarus on June 2 and Romania three days later. Rueda did not give sites for the final two games.
At the World Cup, Honduras is in a first-round group with Chile, Spain and Switzerland.
