PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) — Andy Sonnanstine pitched four scoreless innings and Evan Longoria, Jason Bartlett and John Jaso drove in runs during a three-run fifth that helped a Tampa Bay Rays split-squad beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-1 on Thursday.

Sonnanstine rebounded from a poor outing in his spring debut, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three.

Toronto starter Shaun Marcum gave up one hit, walked none and struck out two in three scoreless innings.

Jaso hit a solo homer off Shawn Camp with one out in the fifth. Bartlett and Longoria added RBI singles off the former Rays reliever later in the inning.

Joey Gathright drove in Toronto’s run with a fifth-inning single off Dan Wheeler.
