SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle Police say the suspicious looking device taped to the arm of a man wandering around downtown Seattle on Friday morning was not a bomb.

Police were called to the area near the King County Courthouse after a man entered a homeless shelter told the staff he was a vampire and threatened to blow up the building. The shelter staff told him to leave and called the police.

He complied with officers who rushed to the scene and voluntarily removed the suspicious device.

Seattle Police say detectives from the city’s bomb squad have determined that the device was fashioned to look like a pipe bomb but it was not an explosive.
