A TEAM OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS and adults from Epikos Church will travel to Mexico on March 20-27 to build a home for a family in need. The project is sponsored by Amor Ministries, an interdenominational group that works with local pastors in Mexico. The group is having fundraisers to raise money for the trip. CELEBRATION TABERNACLE CHURCH: “A Call for Growth,” a celebration of the 30 years in ministry, leadership and service of the Rev. Elbert D. Mondainé, continues today and Sunday. In 1988, Mondainé founded True Believers Assembly of Non-Denominational Churches and Celebration Tabernacle Church in North Portland. Mondainé also founded the soul food restaurant, Po’Shines, which serves as a training facility for at-risk youth and young adults. Mondainé’s ministry expanded to a second church, Celebration Grace Center in St. Louis and a Christian Retreat House in Santa Fe, N.M.
