A TEAM OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS and adults from Epikos Church will travel to Mexico on March 20-27 to build a home for a family in need. CELEBRATION TABERNACLE CHURCH: “A Call for Growth,” a celebration of the 30 years in ministry, leadership and service of the Rev. Elbert D. Mondainé, continues today and Sunday. In 1988, Mondainé founded True Believers Assembly of Non-Denominational Churches and Celebration Tabernacle Church in North Portland. Mondainé also founded the soul food restaurant, Po’Shines, which serves as a training facility for at-risk youth and young adults. Mondainé’s ministry expanded to a second church, Celebration Grace Center in St. Louis and a Christian Retreat House in Santa Fe, N.M.
