Motorcyclist dies in crash at BPA center

A 20-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon when he crashed his motorcycle into a large concrete barrier at a Bonneville Power Administration center just south of Hazel Dell.
Police are withholding the man’s name until his family is notified.
According to the Vancouver Police Department report, the man was heading north at about 2:05 p.m. on Northeast 15th Avenue, toward the BPA’s Ross Complex, at an extremely high rate of speed.
The motorcyclist was unable to stop prior to entering the “T” intersection and crashed into the concrete barrier.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The Vancouver Police Traffic Team is investigating the accident. Access to the area was restricted as part of the investigation.
