EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A Snohomish man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed four people.
Court records show Matthew McDonald had never been in trouble before he drove drunk on Nov. 29, ran through a stop sign and crashed broadside into a vehicle carrying two Clearview couples.
Killed were Brad and Melissa Agerup and Thomas and Hilda Woods. They were friends who had been planning a birthday party.
In January, McDonald pleaded guilty to four counts of vehicular homicide. He apologized at his sentencing Tuesday, wiping away tears as Snohomish County Superior Court Judge David Kurtz imposed sentence.
