Two boys allegedly abducted by their father from a Tacoma-area military base have been turned over to police in Salem, Ore.
An Amber Alert was issued after Allen Fish, 35, took his two sons from their home at Joint Base Lewis-McChord at about 6:45 a.m. and fled south toward Oregon. He turned the children over to police shortly after 1 p.m.
Fish has been arrested and taken into custody. An investigation by Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the FBI is ongoing.
The children are expected to be returned to their mother, a soldier, later today.
The silver Honda Element driven by Fish was reported to have been seen on Interstate 5 in the Vancouver area.
