CHELTENHAM, England (AP) — Big Zeb overtook Forpadydeplasterer to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday, spoiling Master Minded’s bid to win the race for the third straight year.

Ridden by Barry Geraghty, Big Zeb pulled away to win the race by six lengths in one of the surprises of the meet. Master Minded was the 4-5 favorite but finished fourth.

Forpadydeplasterer set a strong pace from the beginning of the two mile under jockey Tony McCoy. Kalahari King rallied to beat Master Minded for third.

Master Minded jockey Ruby Walsh said the ground was too quick for his horse in the $480,000 feature on the second day of the top meet of the jump season.
