Vancouver residents can now participate in an online version of the city of Vancouver’s 2010 community survey.

The survey asks about satisfaction with city services and also seeks community thoughts and values to help address the significant challenges facing the city, according to a press release sent Tuesday.

The online survey, which will be available on the city’s Web site — at http://www.cityofvancouver.us — for the next 30 to 45 days, contains the same questions as the city’s random telephone survey, which was completed last week.

“Placing the survey online is just one way the city hopes to encourage community input to help with Horizons, a values-based process for prioritizing and realigning city services to meet budget challenges,” said Assistant City Manager Betsy Williams.

The results of the telephone survey will be shared with the Vancouver City Council during a public workshop session, then posted on the city’s Web site in late March or early April.

The results from the online survey will be posted later this summer.
