CHELTENHAM, England (AP) — Big Buck’s pulled away from Time For Rupert after jumping the last fence to win the World Hurdle for the second year in a row at the Cheltenham Festival.
Kept near the back of the field by jockey Ruby Walsh for most of Thursday’s 3-mile race, the 5-6 favorite cruised through the field of 14 to win by 3 1/4 lengths.
Time For Rupert finished second and Powerstation was third for the second year in a row.
