Fire breaks out at Fruit Valley home

Firefighters from the Vancouver Fire Department are battling a fire that broke out early this evening at a home in the 3600 block of Thompson Avenue in Vancouver's Fruit Valley neighborhood.
The fire broke out shortly after 6 p.m., putting up a plume of black smoke visible in downtown Vancouver.
