Vancouver man arrested in Woodland on suspicion of rape

A 22-year-old Vancouver man was arrested in Woodland Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree rape for the alleged sexual assault of his friend’s 41-year-old mom, according to a news release from the Woodland Police Department.

David Delane Ferman Stiffler was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail where he’s being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The woman reported to police that she had been raped by Stiffler on March 2. She told police she was asleep under the influence of a sleeping pill when she woke to find Stiffler, who was staying the night at the house, raping her.

Subsequent police interviews with Stiffler led to Wednesday’s arrest.
