Vancouver police said a missing father and son, an 11-year-old boy, were found safe Friday evening in Modeto, Calif.
Travis R. Mason, 30, picked his son, Corey, up at school on Thursday and drove away in a gray 2004 Chevrolet pickup with an extended cab and California license 7G48912, police say.
The boy had called 911 to say his father was in an altercation with a girlfriend, and police were concerned that the father may be upset about that and possibly harm the boy, said Detective Jeremy Free.
