Rays C Navarro injures leg, taken for X-rays

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) -- Tampa Bay Rays catcher Dioner Navarro has been injured in a home-plate collision and taken in an ambulance for X-rays.
Navarro was hurt when he tagged out Minnesota's Jacque Jones in Saturday's game.
Navarro stayed on the ground for about eight minutes and was driven off the field on a cart. He was then taken to a clinic for X-rays on his left leg.
An All-Star in 2008, Navarro slumped last season and hit only .218.
