Hauswald wins World Cup mass start in Norway

OSLO (AP) — Simone Hauswald of Germany has earned her third straight biathlon World Cup victory by winning a women’s 12.5-kilometer mass start race.

Hauswald finished Sunday’s race in 37 minutes, 0.7 seconds after missing two targets. She also won the sprint and pursuit races in Oslo this week.

Vita Semerenko of Ukraine shot cleanly to finish second, 14.7 seconds back. Overall World Cup leader Magdalena Neuner of Germany was third, 22.2 seconds back after three misses.
