Kershaw pitches 5 innings in Dodgers win

PHOENIX (AP) — Clayton Kershaw pitched five innings in his longest outing of the spring, helping a Los Angeles Dodgers split-squad beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 on Monday.

Kershaw gave up three runs, one earned, and two hits. The left-hander struck out six and walked three.

Doug Davis went 4 2-3 innings for the Brewers, yielding three runs and six hits. He struck out three and walked three.

Jamey Carroll had three hits and scored two runs for the Dodgers.
