Vancouver police on Wednesday night arrested a man who allegedly was carrying a concealed gun near a carnival along Vancouver Plaza Drive, north of Fourth Plain Boulevard and east of Andresen Road.

Officers were called to the scene about 7:45 p.m. after someone reported seeing the gun, said Sgt. Dave Henderson with the Vancouver Police Department.

The man allegedly had a gun concealed in a coat pocket.

He offered no resistance to officers who arrested him on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Henderson said.

The man, whose name was not immediately available from police, was taken to the Clark County Jail.
