Washougal Mayor Sean Guard has narrowed the city administrator candidate pool down to two finalists.

They are Bryan Harrison, county administrator in Pacific County, and David Scott, director of development review services for the city of Vancouver.

Harrison, Scott and four other finalists were in Washougal last week for interviews and to meet the public. Guard conducted one-on-one interviews with Harrison and Scott on Friday. The city is now conducting background and reference checks and academic reviews.

Guard said he will announce his decision in the coming weeks.
