TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Police say a 28-year-old Army Ranger was stabbed in the neck during a bar fight over girls on the dance floor Friday night in a Tacoma tavern.
The Tacoma News Tribune reports that the attacker was then assaulted in retaliation. The Army Ranger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive now. He was stabbed near the carotid artery.
The man who stabbed him was taken to a Seattle hospital. His condition was unavailable.
