EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Everett police say a man was arrested Wednesday in the San Francisco Bay area in connection with the slaying of a woman whose body was found in a sleeping bag near Paine Field.

The medical examiner says 36-year-old Angela Beery of Seattle had her throat cut. Her body was found Sunday.

Sgt. Robert Goetz says a break in the case came Tuesday when the 25-year-old Everett man’s father called police to say he hadn’t heard from his son for several days. Police also learned the young man and Beery were seen having drinks together Saturday evening. The spokesman says officers searching the man’s apartment found evidence they say links him to the slaying.
