PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Oregon House Republican Leader Bruce Hanna wants state Attorney General John Kroger to release all documents relating to his former special counsel for environmental affairs, who resigned last month.

A deputy attorney general replied Thursday that the documents are being reviewed, and some cannot be released due to attorney-client privilege.

The letter from Deputy Attorney General Mary Williams says those that can be released will be posted on the Oregon Department of Justice website.

Brent Foster resigned after telling Kroger he misrepresented his involvement in the investigation of water pollution allegations against the owner of Hood River Juice.

Hanna says the case raises questions about Kroger’s commitment to a positive business climate.

Kroger turned over an investigation into Foster’s resignation to the Marion County district attorney.
