FRANKFURT (AP) — Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Hertha Berlin in the league’s final round of games.
This was Bayern’s 22nd championship. Arjen Robben had two goals in the victory that left Bayern five points ahead of Schalke.
The players chased first-year Bayern coach Louis van Gaal after the game to give him a traditional beer shower.
Bayern will return to Berlin next weekend for the German Cup final against Werder Bremen. Bayern also plays Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 22 in Madrid.
