Camas standout Megan Kelley was named athlete of the meet after winning three indidividual events and setting two meet and school records Friday night at the Bob Shaner Invitational in Tumwater.

The Camas boys and girls swept to team titles. The boys scored 282 points to edge out Black Hills of Tumwater (280.5) for the team title. The girls dominated their meet, winning with 511.5 points to outpace Olympia with 474.

The Camas girls, in fact, went undefeated in all meets — duals and invitationals — this season heading into district.

Kelley raced to a time of 25.43 seconds to win the 200 and then clocked in at 57.63 to claim the 400 — her meet and school records. She also won the long jump.

Meanwhile, Jason Jones won the pole vault, clearing 14-6, tying for state-best among Class 3A athletes this season.

Camille Parson won the 800 and the 1,600.

Other winners from Camas were: Sara Slayton in the 300 hurdles, Matt Lloyd in the shot put, Mikey Lauritzen in the javelin, and Josh Reiter in the 3,200.

McCrum won the pole vault (13-6), triple jump (39-13/4) and placed second in the high jump (6-2).

Also posting wins in the boys meet were William Davis of Woodland (110-meter high hurdles), and Kenny Lopez of Hockinson (200 meters).

Aurora Bodenhamer won the 1,600 and Chantel Blundell won the 3,200 to lead the Hockinson girls to the team title, beating out La Center 65-60.

Ridgefield’s Shelby Williams won the shot put and 100 hurdles and placed third in the 100 meters.

Other local winners included Katrina Chamberlain of La Center (high jump), Alex Coons of Woodland (100), Kelly Nigro of Woodland (300 hurdles) and Natalie Harris of La Center (pole vault).
