PROVO, Utah (AP) — BYU guard Jimmer Fredette says he’s coming back for his senior season.

Fredette said Saturday that he’s withdrawing his name from the NBA draft pool so he can keep his college eligibility.

Fredette declared early for the draft in April, but did not hire an agent. He says he enjoyed working out for NBA teams and seeing where he could go in the draft, but decided against leaving school early.

An honorable mention AP All-American, Fredette averaged 22 points while leading the Cougars to a school-record 30 wins as a junior. He scored 49 in a win over Arizona and had 37 points as the Cougars beat Florida in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
