NTSA plans to host three safe-street clinics

The Neighborhood Traffic Safety Alliance is hosting three free safe-street clinics to explore low-cost safety tools to calm transportation concerns.

The first clinic will be 7 p.m. May 18 in the City Hall council chambers, 210 E. 13th St. Traffic taming expert David Engwicht will give a presentation based on his books and previous trips to Vancouver.

A clinic on neighborhood placemarking will be 7 to 9 p.m. June 15 at the city transportation office, 4400 N.E. 77th Ave.

The final clinic will be 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at the City Transportation Office. Dan Burden will explain the benefits of street trees and their relationship to traffic calming.
