BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles have sent slumping outfielder Nolan Reimold to Triple-A Norfolk and summoned Corey Patterson from the same minor league club.
Reimold was batting .205. He acknowledged after Tuesday’s game against Seattle that he had “been playing pretty bad.”
Manager Dave Trembley said it was obvious that Reimold had lost his confidence.
Patterson, who used to play for the Orioles, was batting .368 in 14 games with Norfolk. He was expected to arrive before Wednesday’s game against Seattle.
