Erik Ackerman of Washougal and Ashlie Keyt of Hockinson claimed sub-district titles during the first day of the Class 2A sub-district meet in Ridgefield.
Ackerman won the long jump with a mark of 21 feet, 3 inches. Evan Koering of Woodland was second in the discus throw at 139-9.
Keyt won the javelin throw with an effort of 98-7. Washougal’s Katelyn Wright was second in the long jump (15-11) and Kara Schmid was second in the pole vault (9-6). The meet concludes on Friday.
